When is the Carolinian Forest Festival?
The Carolinian Forest Festival takes place annually in October at Springwater Conservation Area.
Who can attend the Festival?
The Festival welcomes students in grades 6 and 7 from the Thames Valley District School Board, the London District Catholic School Board and local private and home school students.
How much is the cost for students?
The Festival is $12 per student and is free of charge for adult chaperones, teachers and volunteers.
How do you sign up to attend the Festival?
Registration for the 2025 Festival will open in Spring 2025.
What if it is supposed to rain on the day we are attending?
The Festival is held RAIN or SHINE. The Festival will only be cancelled if there is severe weather.
Can I volunteer at the Festival?
Yes. The Festival is a community event and its success depends on the community coming together to teach children about our local natural environment. The Festival is a perfect opportunity to gain experience with community outreach, public speaking and teaching. The Festival depends on over 70 volunteers each day.

My organization does not have the time to volunteer. Is there another way we can contribute to this event?
The Festival is made possible through generous in-kind and monetary contributions from the local community which will go directly towards educating children about our local forest resources.
The festival includes five levels of sponsorship:
Forest Level Sponsor ($5,000 +)
Tree Level Sponsor ($1,000 – $4,999)
Sapling Level Sponsor ($500 – $999)
Seedling Level Sponsor (up to $499)
